The company is said to be the largest of its kind in Europe

A Boston-based company has announced the opening of a new factory complex at Haven Business Park, with the promise of 50 new full-time jobs.

Rolec Services Ltd, specialising in the manufacture of outdoor electrical equipment, will be opening the production facility to focus on the manufacture of Rolec’s electric vehicle (EV) charge point range, now considered to be the largest in Europe.

The new factory at Haven’s Business Park is set to complement the existing sites at Ralph’s Lane in Wyberton that combined already employ over 100 people.

Kieron Aslop, managing director of Rolec said: “We are delighted to be in a position to further expand our operations in Boston, with the introduction of a specially-designed factory complex dedicated to the manufacture of EV charging points.

“We will continue to manufacture our existing range of products for the caravan, marina and outdoor power solutions industries on Ralph’s Lane, a site we are also planning to expand in the near future.
