Spalding scene guard in place as injured man dies

Police are continuing investigations on the scene

A man found injured in Spalding this morning has died, police confirmed.

The man, who was found on Broad Street on the morning of Thursday, December 20, was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Lincolnshire Police have not disclosed the nature of the man’s injuries, but said the death is being treated as unexplained.

Bond Street remains closed at time of writing and a scene guard is in place while investigations continue.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: “The death is being treated as unexplained. Whilst it may be a medical episode, we are working to establish if there are any possible suspicious circumstances.

“The report came in at 6.32am this morning.

“We are appealing to anyone who saw anything relevant at this time in the Broad Street area to call 101 with incident reference 49 of December 20.”
