A Lincoln motorbike rider is in hospital with serious injuries after a collision last night.
Lincolnshire Police were called to the scene at 5.46pm on January 15 with reports of a collision between a motorbike and a Ford Mondeo.
Officers closed off Newark Road and the Rookery Lane junction while they dealt with the incident until around 9pm.
An ambulance was called to the crash and the man riding the motorbike was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.
His injuries are serious, but not believed to be life threatening at this time, police said.
Lincolnshire Police also tweeted that cones being used to cordon off the area had been moved to the side of the road.
Newark Road Lincoln – there are cones in place between Rookery Lane and De Wint Avenue following an earlier RTC. A member of the public had moved the cones to the side of the road. Please leave them in situ – they are there for a reason and officers are still dealing. thanks
