Police called to two rush hour crashes in Lincoln

There is severe traffic on the A46 as a result

Rush hour traffic is affected by two separate crashes which happened within minutes of one another in west Lincoln.

The first crash was called in to police at 4.29pm on the B1190 Saxilby Road, one mile from Doddington just after the bridge.

An eyewitness at the scene said one car was involved. “The car was on its roof and smoking from the engine. It flipped onto its roof into the garden of a house”, just past the bridge.

Injuries are being assessed at the scene at the time of writing.

The second collision was reported at 4.30pm on Thursday, January 3 on the A46 between the Skellingthorpe Road roundabout and the Carholme Road roundabout.

Lincolnshire Police told reporters three vehicles were involved.

There are not believed to be any serious injuries.

There is a significant build up on the A46 and to the west of the city as a result.
