Police release more details about Kirton fire victims

More details revealed about the fatal fire victims

Lincolnshire Police have issued further details about the three people killed in a house fire, currently being investigated as murder.

The three people who died in the New Year’s Day blaze in Kirton were a woman aged 27, a man aged 24 and a man aged 32.

It’s believed that the suspect was among those killed.

All three victims were British, they added in a statement.

“The two people taken to hospital have since been released.

“In total there were five people involved in this incident, the investigation is ongoing and officers are not seeking anyone else as part of their inquiries”, said a force spokesperson.

Police revealed that they were treating the serious fire on Peartree Road as a “domestic related murder”, confirming that three bodies had been discovered in the building.

The investigation is being carried out by the East Midlands Specialist Operations Unit alongside Lincolnshire Officers.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue search and rescue crews remained on site today, where little of the property remains standing.
