A Lincoln tyre company has been given a new lease of life, reopening this month after recovering from damage caused by flooding last summer.
Flooding in August caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to the office area and equipment at ZR Tyres Ltd, which is located at The Pelham Centre on Canwick Road in Lincoln.

The store is now looking ahead to a bright future after re-opening in January 2019, with scope for two further jobs to be created soon.
All the old workshop equipment has been replaced and the alignment equipment has been replaced for the latest machine on the market.

Lincoln Branch Manager Connor Copeland told The Lincolnite: “We are very lucky to be owned/backed by a large family run business, Bush Tyres, as if we were single ownership I fear we could have closed the doors on the day of the flood for the last time and we would all be out of employment.”

ZR Tyres currently has three members of staff on the climb back to normal trading, with the Lincoln branch looking to recruit two more people in the near future.
Connor added: “At ZR Tyres we pride ourselves with giving the best customer service Lincoln has to offer. As the branch manager I am proud to know every customer which comes into ZR is treated with the best customer service they can get in Lincoln. We have evidence of this with our reviews online.
“We offer a range of services, alignments, brakes, servicing & MOTs, tyres, batteries, and general repairs. The one thing ZR does guarantee is excellent competitive pricing and 5* service every time.”
