Woman dies in Skegness toilet block incident

Police said it is not suspicious

A 41-year-old woman has died at a toilet block in Skegness, but police say it is not being treated as suspicious.

Police attended the toilets in Lumley Square in Skegness at 4.16pm on Wednesday, January 23, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We attended a sudden death at the toilets in Lumley Square in Skegness.

“A 41-year-old woman was confirmed deceased at the scene. This is not being treated as a suspicious death and the coroner has been made aware.”

East Lindsey District Council told reporters that the toilets are still closed, but officers intend to open them again later on Thursday.
