Two people die in A15 crashes just hours apart

Police are appealing for witnesses

Two people died in separate crashes on the A15 in a matter of hours on Monday.

A 57-year-old woman from Scunthorpe was pronounced dead at the scene after a crash on the A15 northbound at around 2.45pm on Monday, February 25.

A Toyota Prius car was involved in a collision with a yellow JCB Telehandler towing a trailer just after the Brigg Road Bridge over the dual carriageway.

The rear seat passenger died at the scene with police now appealing for witnesses to the collision.

Hours later, at around 5.25pm on Monday, a motorcycle rider died at the scene of a serious crash on the A15 northbound between Barnetby Top and Elsham.

A 750 GS motorcycle collided with a Fiat 500 and a Hyundai.

Anyone who witnessed the first fatal crash should call 101 quoting log number 328 of February 25.

Those with information about the second crash should call 101 quoting log number 450 of February 25.

Third A15 crash

An ambulance and a car collided on a busy road near Sleaford at around 3pm on Monday.

It caused traffic to build up on the A15 near Leasingham.

EMAS could not confirm whether there were any patients on board at the time but nobody involved in the crash received any medical attention.
