Dine under the moon for one night only

It’s been described as a once in a lifetime opportunity

Bookings are now open for a one night only dining experience under the moon light.

As previously reported, a gigantic moon landed in The Collection for an out of this world exhibition.

Now one group of up to ten people will be able to experience a five course meal inspired by the lunar artwork.

Award winning chef Darren Rogan will be creating dishes tailored to the people who book on for the meal on Friday, April 19.

Chef Darren Rogan said: “[The moon] is an iconic and nationally renowned art installation. To be asked to cook food for it is an enormous privilege and honour.

“Food is the way I express myself as a chef and it’s thrilling to be placed in a setting with an artist who shares my creative ambition.”

Ellen Kelman, corporate hospitality officer, said: “Luke Jerram’s installation is truly breath-taking.

“We were very excited to get the opportunity to work with a local chef and take inspiration from this artwork, to provide a unique private dining experience.”

The moon exhibition measures six metres across on the diameter and features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface.

Each centimetre of the model represents six kilometres of the moon’s surface.
