A 15-year-old boy wanted by police was arrested after he climbed up a drainpipe to get onto a roof in Scunthorpe.
The incident happened on Bridges Street on the afternoon of Monday, April 29.
Humberside Police quickly caught the boy and he remains in custody at the time of writing.
The suspect was wanted in connection with criminal damage, bail and public order offences.
Inspector Paul French said: “Avoiding arrest in this way is not going to work.
“We will continue to bring people into custody who have a detrimental effect on our communities and will not be deterred in our efforts.”

Lincolnshire Police have found the body of a missing Lincoln boy.
The force appealed at around 4pm on Sunday, April 11, to find Daniel Coupland, 16, from Lincoln, after he went missing.
At 9.30pm police said that a body has been found, which has been identified as the missing boy.
In a statement, Lincolnshire Police said: “We would like to sincerely thank the media and the public for their support with this appeal and request that the family be given time to process this devastating news without intrusion or speculation.”
