Air ambulance called to serious A158 crash

Police closed off the busy road

An air ambulance has landed at the scene of a two car crash near Horncastle, where one person has serious injuries.

There are nearly two miles of delays on the A158, close to the Hungram Lane junction at Baumber.

Lincolnshire Police closed off the busy road after the collision and are advising motorists to avoid the area.

A police spokesperson said: “This is a collision between Wragby and Horncastle on A158, Lincoln Road. Two vehicles involved.

“Air ambulance on scene. Road closures in place for at least the next two hours.

“One person has serious injuries and is being taken to hospital via land ambulance.”

Stagecoach have tweeted that the 56 service is unable to serve the area and are advising passengers to catch the service outside the co-op in Wragby.
