Man dies after crash at temporary traffic lights

Two others suffered injuries

An 84-year-old man has died after a crash between a car and a van in a North Lincolnshire village.

The man was driving a Honda Jazz which collided with a Renault Trafic van at temporary traffic lights near to the cement works on the A1077 Sluice Road in South Ferriby at around 2.45pm on Wednesday, May 1.

He had serious neck and back injuries, as well as internal injuries to his lungs. He was taken to hospital, but passed away during the morning of Friday, May 3.

Humberside Police said a woman who was in the car suffered minor chest and neck injuries. The driver of the van sustained whiplash.
