Scooter crash leaves rider with ‘life-changing injuries’

The road was closed off for several hours last night

A scooter rider has been taken to hospital with reportedly life-changing injuries.

Emergency services rushed out to the crash, which involved one vehicle at around 7.30pm on May 1 near Canwick Hill.

Lincolnshire Police closed the B1131 at Bracebridge Heath and the crash victim was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

An eyewitness told The Lincolnite that the fire service, ambulance and police attended.

The rider’s injuries are thought to be life changing, police told reporters.

The road was opened hours later at around 10.15pm last night.
