Worn out sections of Heapham Road South Gainsborough will be resurfaced over two weeks.
The £200,000 project will start on May 13, with diversions in place overnight for the first week and during the day for the second week.
Drivers will be diverted through the A631, A156 towards Foxby Lane and vice versa.
In the first week, the works will take place between 8pm and 7am. In the first couple of hours access to the Morrisons store will be maintained through the A631 and Heapham Road South.
During the second week, work will be carried out between 7.30am and 5pm. Access to the supermarket and the nearby industrial estate will be though Foxby Lane and Heapham Road South.
Councillor Clio Perraton-Williams, executive support councillor for highways and member for Scotter Rural, said: “There are sections of Heapham Road South that have suffered significant wear and tear over the years and need to be replaced.
“We’ll be working hard to keep any impact to a minimum, and have scheduled the first week’s worth of work to take place overnight, when we will be focusing on the area by Morrisons.
“We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused, and, as always, encourage drivers to allow additional time for their journeys and use alternative routes where possible.
“And please remember, the road will be in a much better condition once we’re done, so the short-term disruption will be worth it.”
