A group of Lincoln volunteers spent the weekend cleaning up bags of river rubbish.
Some 21 people turned up on Saturday, May 18 to clean up the Sincil Bank area.
Pushchairs, trolleys, rugs and plastic bottles were pulled out of the river to be taken away to a local recycling centre.
Nick Rawsthorne, group photographer, said: “I truly wish people would realise that dropping their litter is totally unacceptable and causes hard work for kind hearted volunteers.
“There are bins you know, and these are where your rubbish should be disposed of!
“Well done, to those who do care and especially the great volunteer force who give up their precious time to clean our great city.”
