Child in ‘serious condition’ after crash near Lincoln

The child was airlifted to hospital in Nottingham

A child has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Sunday.

The child was hit by a car on the A15 at Bracebridge Heath at around 12.40pm on June 9.

An air ambulance attended and took them to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

The road reopened a few hours later at 4.30pm after emergency services attended the scene.

A police spokesperson said: “At 12.40pm on June 9 we attended the A15 at Bracebridge Heath, to an RTC involving a car and a pedestrian.

“The pedestrian, a child, was taken by air ambulance to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, with serious injuries.

“The road was closed while emergency services attended. It re-opened at around 4.30pm.”
