Do it yourself dog washroom opens in Lincoln

It’s believed to be the only DIY dog washroom in the city

Calling all mucky mutts! A do it yourself dog washroom has opened in Lincoln to bring owners and their four-legged friends closer together.

Dizzy Dog Wash, named after one of the owner’s three dogs, is now open for business at 293 Newark Road.

Owners can bring any dog ranging from a tiny Chihuahua all the way up to a big Newfoundland for a bath.

Prices start from £10 and go up to £30 depending on the size of the dog, which gets access to the bath, shampoo, hairdryer, brushes and towels.

It’s the perfect alternative to luxury-priced grooming.

Jackie Chapman runs the Dizzy Dog Wash and told The Lincolnite that her whole family is getting involved.

She is a very good girl.

She said: “Luna my Newfoundland is the main reason why we thought we’d do it. The bath is big enough for any dog and we clean the whole room afterwards.

“Myself and my two daughters are working here but my dad Arthur has even been making bags to sell in the shop.

“We’ve been happily busy but we’re now trying to get the word out. This is just a cheap alternative for everyone and we have all of the facilities here.

“There was something similar 20 years ago and I used to take my dogs there before it closed. I want people to come and enjoy the experience washing their dogs.”
