Lincoln park to host free music festival next month

There will even be inflatables and giant bubble making

A free community music festival with bands, singers, and even inflatables and giant bubble making, will return to a Lincoln park next month.

Local community group Action LN2s’ Our Big Gig In The Arboretum event returns for its seventh year on Sunday, July 14 from 12pm to 7pm.

There will be live music throughout the day showcasing local talent from Lincolnshire, as well as African drumming and a variety of activities for children and adults to enjoy.

A range of hot and cold food will be available from fish and chips to American style fast food and vegan delights, as well as ice cream vans. The Arboretum café will also be open on the day.

A selection of stalls will be at the event including crafts, homemade gifts, jewellery and local charities.

The full music line-up is as follows:

  • 12-12.30pm – Route 180
  • 12.45-1.15pm – Itchy Fingers
  • 1.30-2pm – Jack Kendrick
  • 2.15-2.45pm – Suburban Toys
  • 3-3.30pm – Ant Macandrew
  • 3.45-4.15pm – Scribble Victory
  • 4.30-5pm – Albany

At the first Our Big Gig In The Arboretum in 2013, around 300 people attended the free music event. The event continues to grow with thousands of people flocking to the 2018 event.

Volunteer Eleni said: “I love doing this event, it’s great to see people come together and enjoy the day! I’m so proud to be a part of it.”
