New bakery moving into former newsagents

The shop sat empty for just under a year

Cooplands will be coming back to the High Street after taking over a former newsagents.

As previously reported, MSR newsagents closed down its store suddenly after serving the city for ten years.

Now Cooplands is taking over the shop at 159-160 High Street and has applied for planning permission to replace the shopfront and awning.

It could look something like this.

Lincolnshire Co-op, the shop’s landlord, were not available for comment at the time of writing.

The bakery chain already has three shops in Lincoln at the Birchwood Shopping Centre, Carlton Centre and on Woodhall Drive.
