Watch moment police storm suspected Cleethorpes drug house

Drugs and weapons were among the items uncovered

Police uncovered suspected Class A drugs, three knives, a number of mobile phones and what is believed to be a BB gun during a raid in Cleethorpes.

A 37-year-old woman remains in custody on suspicion of drug offences following the raid at a property on Lovett Street in Cleethorpes during the morning of Monday, June 17. She was arrested on suspicion of possession of heroin.

A video was uploaded by Humberside Police showing the moment police battered the door down to gain access into the property.

Community Beat Manager for the area, PC Gary Cooksey, said: “A number of people had spoken to my team about drug related crime in this area – both while we have been out and about and through our #HumberTalking initiative – so I am pleased we have been able to take this action and show them that we are listening to their concerns.

“We know that this kind of offending can have a huge impact on the wider community and dealing with it is always a top priority for us.

“We may not always be able to act on the information you give us straight away and I know that can be frustrating but I want to reassure you that you’re not being ignored.

“When it comes to issues like drug-related crime, we need to build up the bigger picture to have the biggest impact.

“Once we’re satisfied we have all that we need to get the right result, that’s when we carry out warrants like the one we have today (June 17).”
