A 39-year-old man serving a sentence for a rape offence has absconded from an open prison in Lincolnshire.
Police are urgently trying to locate Stephen Tierney after he absconded from HMP North Sea Camp on Wednesday, July 3.
He was last seen in Boston Market Place on Wednesday and police said he may have used public transport to travel to Lincoln.
Tierney, who has connections to Northamptonshire and London, poses a medium risk of violence towards the public.
He is described as around five foot seven inches tall and of small build with brown/ginger hair. He also has a tattoo saying “wrist” on his right arm.
Police said: “Tierney has been assessed as posing a medium risk of violence towards the public who are advised not to approach him. He is serving a sentence for a previous rape offence.”
Any sightings or information should be reported to Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 316 of July 3, or in an emergency call 999.
