The Kinema in The Woods has opened a third screen with 74 seats to keep up with demand and show a wider range of films.
Complete with a self-playing grand piano, the new screen is a mirror image of its existing second screen.
Audiences have been flocking to quirky independent cinema in Woodhall Spa for years, since 1922 in fact.
Philip Jones, manager at Kinema in the Woods, told Lincolnshire Reporter: “We have put a significant investment into the new screen to keep up with the increasing demand and show more films.
“Our opening weekend was great with many people saying it felt like the third screen had always been here – that’s exactly the kind of response that we wanted.
The Kinema in The Woods has a brand new screen.
“We decided to go for a more intimate 74 seats so that we can fit a larger style of seat and offer extra legroom.”
As previously reported, the development created one new full-time job and several part time roles.
Prices start at £7 for adults, £6 for under 14s or seniors and £24.40 for a family of four.
The owner has also expanded the car park at the cinema by creating a further 108 spaces.
