A dog owner has been left distraught after her beloved pet ran from a crash between Whisby and Doddington on Tuesday.
The crash involving a red Seat Leon and a silver Vauxhall Insignia happened at the crossroads of Whisby Road and Black Lane at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, July 23.
One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said.
A French bulldog Staffie cross called Lola ran from the scene and is still missing.
Lola is around 15kg, pale ginger and has a white L marking on the back of her neck, a white chest and one blue eye. She also has distinctive ears and is described by her owner as a “very friendly and loving character”.
Lola’s owner Lily Hardin put out an emotional appeal on Facebook saying it is “absolutely destroying me” and “she is everything to me and my family”. The post has already been shared over 120 times.
Lily said in the post that she was out all night looking for Lola and that police had also sent drones out in an effort to find her dog.
Anyone who has seen Lola, or witnesses to the crash, should contact Lincolnshire Police quoting incident number 419 of July 23.

Anyone who does a lap of Lincoln High Street will have noticed a number of odd tarmac fillings on the pedestrianised area, which stick out like a sore thumb given how they are weaved between brickwork and cobbled areas.
We have put these to the county council to find out why they have been done, and if we can expect them to return to a more consistent look in-keeping with the area.
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way…to the Christmas cheer being displayed through Lincolnshire.
Local handyman Lee Bellamy, 32 (pictured above with his family), felt his street on Lake View Road in Lincoln didn’t have enough festive displays so wanted to do one of his own, with the help of his girlfriend Robyn Mould, and their children Lucas, 9, and Ella-Rose, 2.
