Fowl play: Chicken carcasses dumped in Lincolnshire lay-bys

The council’s enforcement team is investigating

Twenty black bin liners of chicken carcasses were found dumped in two Lincolnshire lay-bys on the A16.

Carcasses were found dumped in Tut Hole lay-by in Spilsby and in the lay-by at Swaby on Thursday and Friday, July 11 and 12.

East Lindsey District Council’s enforcement team is investigating. Anyone with information or who can help should call 01507 601111.

It is not the first time chickens or carcasses have been found dumped in Lincolnshire.

In December 2018, over 200 dead chickens were found on Second Avenue in Grimsby. In the same month around 30 bags of dead chickens were dumped on the side of a road in Spalding.
