New café to open in former High Street jewellers

It will be opening soon on the High Street

A new café will be opening soon in place of a former High Street jewellers.

Signs have gone up at the new Café Pino building, which has been empty for several weeks after jewellery shop Faze Four closed.

The new owner has also applied for planning permission to open up bricked windows on the Tentercroft facing side of the building.

They are planning to open up windows on the side of the building.

Planning officers at the City of Lincoln Council welcomed the proposals but added reservations for the designs of the new windows, calling them “poor quality”.

The application also includes a floorplan which includes a seating area to drink coffee, a kitchen, cold room and toilets.

The council’s planning committee will make a decision on the designs for the building at a later date.

As previously reported, just across the street work has started on a Cooplands but there is no opening date just yet.
