A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a reported rape on Cleethorpes beach as police continue enquiries.
As previously reported, Humberside Police were called just after midnight on Thursday, August 22 to reports that a woman had been found on the beach near to the Central Promenade in Cleethorpes in a distressed state.
Officers previously said they believe it to be an isolated incident.
Police revealed on Friday, August 30 that a 44-year-old man who was later arrested remains in custody.
Police also released local CCTV footage from the area between 11pm on Wednesday, August 21 and 12.15am the following morning and have identified a number of people that they believe may be witnesses.

The photos show a number of cars in the area at the time and police are asking for the people in these vehicles to come forward as they could be witnesses. However, police do not believe these people were involved in the incident.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Chris Calvert said: “Investigations into the reported rape have led to the arrest of a man who is currently in custody assisting with our enquiries.
“We are keen to trace any potential witnesses and want to hear from anyone that was in the Cleethorpes Promenade area between 11pm on Wednesday, August 21 or 12.15am the following morning, Thursday August 22.
“I want to be really clear that we do not believe that these people were involved in the incident, however they may have seen or heard something that could help our investigations.
“If this is you, or you have any information about this incident, please call us on 101 quoting log 14 of August 22, or if you want to remain anonymous please call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
