Her family released a statement

A 79-year-old woman who died in a serious crash on the A46 Lincoln bypass last month has been named by police.

As previously reported, an air ambulance attended the collision between a lorry and a Seat car on the A46 between Doddington and Skellingthorpe roundabouts, which was reported to police at 3.27pm on Tuesday, July 23.

The victim has now been named as Wendy Mary Short from Lincoln.

The family said in a statement: “With a very heavy broken heart, the beautiful soul who tragically lost her life in a road traffic collision on the A46 Lincoln, on Tuesday, July 23 2019, is named by her family as Wendy Mary Short, aged 79 years.

“Wendy was a Lincoln born lady and is mum to Michelle, Lee and Kelvin.”
