Cars crash into road sign at Carholme roundabout

This caused some delays

Two cars crashed into a road sign on the A46 Carholme roundabout, causing tailbacks on Monday afternoon.

Police were called to the two vehicle damage only collision at 12.34pm on Monday, August 19. The road is now clear, but it seems to still be affecting traffic.

Luke Fowler was passing through when he saw the crash and he told The Lincolnite: “Two cars hit the barriers at Carholme golf course roundabout on the bypass.

“Traffic going westbound on the dual carriageway is at a standstill to the next roundabout.

“A police van has blocked one of the dual carriageway entrances going westbound.

“The fire brigade were making their way through the traffic.”

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called to a two vehicle RTC on the A46 Carholme roundabout. This was reported at 12.34pm. A road sign has been damaged.”
