Cyclist hit by car on busy Lincoln road

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area

A cyclist has been hit by a car on a busy Lincoln road, resulting in major traffic delays.

The collision happened at around 10am on Tuesday, August 6 on Station Road near to the Whisby roundabout.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said:  “An RTC involving a car and a bicycle took place today on Whisby Road, Lincoln, near the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum.

“We received the call at 10.06am.”

East Midlands Ambulance Service has not yet confirmed whether anybody was injured in the crash.

An eyewitness told The Lincolnite they saw a cyclist lying in the road.
