Five kittens ‘dumped in bin bag’ and left to rot

Sadly two of the kittens have already lost their lives

Five kittens were found dumped in a bin bag among bits of rubbish before they were saved by someone passing by.

Two of the five died on the same evening they were found and another is fighting for its life while being cared for by Vets Now on Lincoln Road.

All of the kittens, which are believed to just three-weeks-old, were covered in fleas and diagnosed with anaemia.

Lincoln Cat Care Charity said that they were found on the evening of Sunday, August 18 but did not know where they were found.

Penny Craig, from Lincoln Cat Care Charity, told The Lincolnite: “Luckily someone passing by must have heard something from the bin.

“They were found in a thick black bag. Two have already died and another is fighting for its life.

“It happens too often around here. I don’t know how anyone could do something like that. We are hoping that these tiny kittens will be okay.”
