Lincoln hammer robbers leave man with serious injuries

Three people were arrested

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was attacked in a Lincoln home with a hammer.

Three people have been arrested and investigators are seeking a fourth.

Police were called to a reported robbery on Southdown in Bracebridge Low Fields at around 10.55pm on Wednesday, August 7.

Officers found a 50-year-old man with serious injuries to his abdomen and head.

Lincolnshire Police believe that a claw hammer was used in this attack which has been recovered.

The victim was taken to QMC.

Three other people were present at the property and were arrested – a man in his 40s, a woman in her 40s and a woman in her 50s.

A force spokesperson said: “Officers are seeking one other person in relation to this incident.

“A scene guard remains in place and an investigation is underway.”
