Local dad killed in tragic motorcycle crash

The crash happened on Bank Holiday Monday

The family of a 56-year-old man who died in a motorbike crash on the A57 have issued a tribute in his memory.

The crash involving his motorbike happened on the A57 near Ragnall in Nottinghamshire at around 4pm on Monday, August 26.

The motorbike rider, who died at the scene, has been named as Nick Strickson from Newark Road in Swinderby, Lincolnshire.

Nick’s family issued the following tribute ‘In memory of Dad’:

“And when the time came to take your last ride
I can bet that you did with a smile,
Because you loved to ride on a sunny day,
And you did to the very last mile.”

Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information that could help, should call police on 101 quoting incident 595 of August 26.
