Two men charged after police officer assaulted

They’ll be in court next month

Two men have been charged after a police officer was assaulted while attending a late-night fight.

Lincolnshire Police were called at 2.17am on August 17 to reports of an altercation on the High Street near the Stonebow and Primark.

Anthony and James Evans, 53-years-old and 26-years-old respectively, from Oakfield Street in Lincoln, have been bailed to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court in September.

James Evans was charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker and Anthony Evans was charged threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear.
