Wind and rain warnings issued for Lincoln

Severe weather warnings are in place later this week

The Met Office has issued weather warnings for wind and rain which span across Lincolnshire later this week.

On Friday, August 9 a yellow warning for rain is in place for the entire day. Forecasters have warned that there is a “small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.”

They also added that some roads and public transport may be affected by localised flooding.

The outlook for Friday and Saturday

On Saturday, August 10, another day-long warning is in place for strong winds for the majority of the country.

Forecasters said: “It’s likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.”

The Met Office also warned there could be a risk of power cuts and delays for high-sided vehicles.
