A new show-themed menu was unveiled

A new bistro menu has been launched at The Stage Door Bistro & Prosecco Bar at the New Theatre Royal Lincoln.

A new autumn and winter menu was also unveiled at an event on Thursday evening, which was attended by special guests including the Deputy Mayor and Consort, as well as The Lincolnite.

The bar’s signature “Theatre Royale” Chambord Cocktail was enjoyed by guests along with tasters from the new show-themed menu.

This included The Waitress platter and a selection of sausage, mash and gravy, as well as vegetarian and vegan options – click here to view the full menu.

It will be open before shows and between 12pm-11pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The menu wasn’t the only new addition to the Bistro & Prosecco Bar. New, vibrant seating and vintage lighting features have also been fitted.

More signed headshots of stars who gave graced the New Theatre Royal, such as Joanna Lumley, Dame Judi Dench, Leslie Nielsen and Billy Connolly, were also added alongside archived posters of past shows.

At the unveiling event guests were also treated to a surprise performance by Dan Hadfield, who performed swing and jazz songs and some Gary Barlow Take That favourites.

Natalie Hayes-Cowley, Artistic Director, said: “We’re doing everything we can to support the theatre, and the Prosecco Bar and Bistro is just another arm to our beautiful venue, which will help keep the theatre open for everyone to continue to enjoy.

“We can’t thank Dan enough for performing tonight, and we are now looking for more live acts to perform in our bistro as it lends itself beautifully to the look and feel we want to achieve.

“We are also thrilled to launch our new VIP area, so whether it be a night out with your partner or friends, or you want to celebrate a special occasion, come along to our theatre-themed bar.”
