CCTV appeal after man assaults woman in Immingham street

The woman was on a cut through late at night

A man allegedly grabbed a woman causing them both to fall to the floor in a cut through in Immingham.

Humberside Police has released the above image of a man and said that he “may have vital information” that could assist their investigation.

On Thursday, August 29 at around 10pm the woman was walking along Worsley Road when she took the cut through towards Battery Street.

The woman then reported to police that the man grabbed her, causing them both to fall to the floor.

She then managed to run away towards Battery Street, while the man is believed to have run towards Worsley Street.

The man police want to speak to is described as white, between 25 and 30-years-old, of a medium build and around 5 feet 4 inches tall.

He was wearing a distinctive tracksuit top and smelled heavily of cigarettes.

PC Chris Clarke investigating said: “Even though the CCTV isn’t great quality, I would ask anyone who has any information on the incident, or who can identify the man in the image to please come forward as it could really help with our investigation.

“Additional officers have been carrying out on patrols in the area, and anyone with any concerns, please do get in touch with us.”
