Deliveroo reveals Lincoln’s top five takeaway meals

Deliveroo has revealed its top five most ordered meals in Lincoln as it celebrates operating for three years in the city.

Over 65 restaurants have signed up to the platform since its launch in the city, with Deliveroo creating work for more than 50 people.

Data from the service revealed that Lincolnites can’t get enough of American cuisine as Burger King’s Bacon Double Cheese XL Meal tops the list, followed by British and Japanese.

Winner: Burger King Bacon Double Cheese XL

Burger King’s Bacon Double Cheese XL Meal is the most ordered takeaway in Lincoln on Deliveroo.

Two fire-grilled beef patties topped with savoury smoked bacon and melted American cheese, all in a toasted sesame seed bun.

Runner-up: Sausage & Chips from Burton Road Chippy

Burton Road Chippy’s two sausages with chips came in second place. The family owned restaurant is a firm favourite in Lincoln.

3. Katsu Curry from Wagamama

Wagamama’s Chicken Katsu Curry is the third most ordered meal in Lincoln on Deliveroo.

Chicken coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs, covered in an aromatic curry sauce served with sticky rice and a side salad.

4. Kaspas’ Bueno Waffle

Kaspas’ Bueno Waffle is a sweet treat.

Fresh waffle served with Kinder Bueno pieces, luxury choco-nut sauce, white chocolate flakes and drizzled with Kaspa’s unique white choco-nut spread.

5. Thailand No 1’s Gaeng Kiew Waan

Thailand No 1 is based in the Bailgate in Lincoln.

Gaeng Kiew Waan is a popular Thai green curry cooked in coconut milk with an aromatic selection of Thai herbs.

Deliveroo data also shows that Saturday is the night most locals prefer to stay home with a takeaway.

On Saturday evenings at 8.39pm is the most popular time for Lincoln locals to order.

In the city, over 60% of Deliveroo partners are independent businesses.
