New cat cafe is the purrfect addition to Lincoln

It’s the purrfect new home for six adorable rescue cats

Lincoln’s first cat café is opening its doors to customers next week, so we went for a sneak peek.

Coffee Cats, 39 Silver Street, is home to six adorable rescue cats, Stokes Coffee, and some fresh sweet treats with vegan and gluten-free options.

Meet Ratatoskr, Little Boo, Matilda, Snorri, Mary Moo, and Cleopatra when it opens for the first time on Tuesday, October 1.

Stephen Brown, 35, told The Lincolnite: “I’ve taken my time to get the cats all settled in and they seem to all love it here and have made it their home.

“Each one has their own personality and spots you can find them in, but they all love to sit on laps and get a good fuss.”

When it is up and running Stephen hopes to bring in residents from local care homes and then start cat yoga sessions.

The café will be open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 11am to 3pm and then later from 5pm to 8pm.

People can book one-hour slots on the website by clicking or tapping here for £5 per person.

Loyalty cards are also on offer with a free drink on the second visit, free drink on the fourth visit, and free visit after five bookings.

When it opens the café will only let in eight people at a time, so the cats don’t get too overwhelmed.
