Nine arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Grantham

Police are looking for witnesses

Police have arrested six women and three men on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Grantham overnight.

Investigating officers have put out an appeal asking for witnesses to come forward following the serious assault at a house on Finkin Street.

Emergency services were called to the property at around 10.35pm on Saturday, September 21 to reports that a man was seriously injured.

The nine people arrested were aged between 28 and 52.

A 38-year-old man was treated for a puncture wound to his abdomen. His injuries were described by police as ‘non-life-threatening’.

A scenes of crime investigation began at the house today (Sunday, September 22).

Lincolnshire Police said in a statement: “Those arrested will be interviewed today (Sunday) as the investigation continues but at this stage the incident seems to have been restricted to the group of people who were arrested.

“We would like to hear from anyone who saw the incident or knows anything about it to contact us on 101 quoting incident reference 581 of 21st September.”
