Police end Lincoln stabbing investigation

Lincolnshire Police has concluded its investigation into a stabbing in Sincil Bank after the victim said he did not want to press charges.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with stab wounds but his injuries were not life-threatening.

A family member of the victim said he suffered four stab wounds to the leg and bottom area on Wednesday, August 21 before he was found on Walnut Place at around 11.33pm.

We sent a reporter to the scene on Thursday morning who saw trails of blood leading up to the cordon, where another large pool of blood was left.

Divers searched the canal near Sincil Bank.

As part of their investigation, police divers searched the canal near stabbing for a weapon but they were unable to find anything.

Nobody was arrested for the stabbing and Lincolnshire Police has concluded its investigation.
