Popular Lincoln pub to re-open soon

A lot of people were sad when it closed in December

A popular Steep Hill pub will re-open, new tenants announced nine months after it closed its doors.

Widow Cullen’s Well, which was part of the Yorkshire-based Samuel Smith’s Brewery chain, closed in December last year.

Previous managers said staffing cuts imposed by the brewery had left them unable to meet demand.

Lights have recently been seen back on in the pub with a notice in the window saying “Opening Again Very Soon”.

It is understood the pub will re-open in October.

It is not clear which brewery will be behind the pub when it reopens.

The Lincolnite tried to contact the Samuel Smith Brewery chain, but have been unable to reach them at the time of writing.
