Resident heard screams on “quiet Lincoln street” where man was stabbed

A man was arrested for attempt murder

Shouting and screaming was heard by a local resident on a usually “quiet street” in Lincoln where a man in his 40s was stabbed on Tuesday evening.

Forensics teams attended a property on Knight Place, between lower High Street and Sincil Bank football stadium, on Wednesday, September 25 as attempted murder investigations continued.

As previously reported, police were called to Knight Place in Lincoln just before 5pm on Tuesday, September 24.

A man in his 50s was arrested for attempted murder and remains in custody after another male was stabbed with a knife during an altercation.

The man in his 40s was seriously injured by a knife, which was later recovered during an underwater search of the drain in Altham Terrace.

The police investigation continued on Wednesday. Two PCSOs and a forensic team were working at the scene until around 2.30pm.

The forensic team were seen coming out of a property on Knight Place with evidence bags, which they then put into a white van.

One nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, told The Lincolnite they were in the kitchen when they heard screaming and shouting from at least two people at around 5pm.

They said that at around 5.30-6pm at least three police cars, one ambulance and a paramedic car arrived at the scene.
