Broken down train causing Lincolnshire disruption

Skegness and Grantham are affected

A broken down train in a Nottinghamshire village is causing disruption in Skegness and Grantham.

National Rail said shortly after 3pm on Friday that all trains towards Skegness from Nottingham are currently suspended after a train broke down in Aslockton.

Some trains from Skegness towards Nottingham will also be cancelled until the normal timetable can resume.

It is causing disruption to journeys between Nottingham and Grantham, and as a result trains may be delayed or revised.

Some trains may have to be diverted on an alternative route and not be able to stop at Grantham.

At the time of writing, National Rail said the disruption is currently expected until 4.15pm.
