A busy road near a Lincoln school will be resurfaced next month as part of a £35,000 project.
Works on Hykeham Road are expected to start on Monday, October 21 and should be completed by Thursday, October 24.
It will be closed between 7.30am and 5pm each day, with traffic diverted through Newark Road, Moor Lane and Lincoln Road.
Karen Cassar, the assistant director highways, said: “This section of road has suffered significant wear and tear over the years and it’s important we get it repaired, particularly given its proximity to the zebra crossing.
“This is a well-used route, so we’ve scheduled the works to take place during half-term, when traffic is significantly lighter.
“However, there is still likely to be some disruption, so we would ask motorists to be patient, allow additional time for their journeys and use alternative routes where possible.”
