A damaged car spotted abandoned in the middle of a busy Lincoln Road, caused lunchtime delays and a road closure.
Tim Mavers-Chance told The Lincolnite that the vehicle on Deacon Road was clearly damaged and unable too move without the assistance of a recovery truck.
It happened at the junction near Lidl, close to Outer Circle Road, and was reported to Lincolnshire Police at 11.29am. The road was re-opened again by 12.40pm.
After seeing the incident, he said: “All vehicles and shoppers were being redirected away from the incident. Queues are mounting up as cars slow to look at the police cordon on Outer Circle Road and perplexed drivers try to find another route.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “A car was blocking Deacon Road in Lincoln which required closure of the road for recovery. A recovery vehicle attended and the road was clear at 12.40pm.”
