Masked men threaten Grantham shopkeeper with blade

Police are appealing for witnesses

A shopkeeper was threatened with a blade when two men wearing balaclavas attempted to rob a store in Grantham.

The men entered the Alma Park News store on Alma Park Road at around 7.45pm on October 23. One of them threatened the shopkeeper with what police described as a “bladed item” before then men left the store empty-handed.

The suspects came from the direction of the industrial estate on Alma Park Road on entering the shop. They ran off in the same direction.

Lincolnshire Police have carried out extensive investigations, but enquiries are ongoing. The force published an appeal for witnesses on Friday, November 29.
