Plans for new three-storey apartment block in Lincoln

The blocks are planned to replace a former motorcycle shop

A developer has lodged plans for a three-storey apartment block in Lincoln to replace a former motorcycle shop on Carholme Road.

The cream and grey coloured blocks will have room for 15 residential apartments and parking bays, aimed at professionals.

It would replace Jack Machin Motorcycles which is currently being demolished after it closed down during the summer.

Many of the apartments consist of two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a joined kitchen and living space.

The development will be aimed at professionals.

JMF Chartered Architects hopes to build five individual blocks joined by recessed stairwells and have put forward their application to the City of Lincoln Council.

The site is within Flood Zone 2, so the residential units on the ground floor would be built over 110mm higher than usual.
