For 2020, the second annual quiz night will raise funds for St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, which provides palliative and end-of-life care to adults living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
It will be held at the same great location, the White Hart Hotel in the Bailgate, from 6pm for the drinks reception, and 7pm for the food and quiz.
There are only 20 spaces available for teams of five people. Book your team of five now for £125 — that’s only £25pp with a two course meal (posh sausages and mash & veg, plus dessert, veggie option available) and a fizz reception. All proceeds will be donated to charity.
The quiz will once again be hosted by quizmaster extraordinaire Ronnie Byrne, and if you didn’t attend last year, you’ll find it quite a different experience.
The speed quiz is available via a mobile app (only one needed for the team), and the team with the quickest correct answers wins. There are several rounds, including music, local knowledge, current affairs and sport.

Last year, the Sons of Anarchy team from Duncan & Toplis were crowned winners of the quiz, also leaving home with a case of Prosecco courtesy of Ringrose Law. Check out the gallery from the 2019 event.
After the meal and the quiz, St Barnabas representatives will pick the raffle winners. If your business is interested in donating a gift/voucher for the charity raffle, please email [email protected].
Daniel Ionescu, Managing Editor of The Lincolnite, said: “Last year’s event was great fun and we raised a good sum for charity. We’re hoping to raise even more money this year, and have just as much fun, so please book in your team as soon as possible.”
Alex Bennett, Marketing Manager at Ringrose Law, said: “We’re delighted to be involved in the Bangers & Fizz Charity Quiz again this year. St Barnabas do such important work across our communities, and I’m glad we can do our part to raise awareness and fundraise for them.”
Chris Strawson, Sales Exec at DPS Digital, said: “We work with many charities across Lincolnshire and St Barnabas is one particularly close to my heart, so I’m glad we can support them. It’s also my birthday on the day, so more reasons to enjoy the night!”
