Plan to restore Branston Post Office services after 17 months

The company is still looking for a permanent solution

Post Office services are set to be brought back to Branston, south of Lincoln, after the village branch closed temporarily 17 months ago.

A service, described as temporary by the company, will be opened at All Saints Church Hall on Church Road on Thursday, February 6.

It will be provided by the Postmaster for Nocton every Thursday from 2.45pm until 4.45pm.

Post Office Ltd has added that the service will only be in place until it finds a permanent solution.

The previous branch at 1 Linden Avenue in Branston was closed in August 2018.

Ian Johnson, Post Office Area Network Change Manager, said: “We are pleased that the Postmaster for Nocton can provide this service for Branston whilst we continue to look for a permanent solution.

“We know that the community will welcome this news.”
