Post Office services return to Wragby

The Post Office is still looking for a permanent solution

Post Office services will be gradually restored to the village of Wragby, North East of Lincoln, from next month.

The temporary outreach service will begin at the Turnor Arms, which is located at Market Place in Wragby on Wednesday, February 5.

It will be provided by the Postmaster for Reepham every Wednesday from 1pm-3pm and on Fridays 9.30am-11.30am. This will restore a temporary service whilst the Post Office continues to look for a permanent solution.

The previous nearby branch at Wragby Pet Shop, also located at Market Place, closed temporarily in April 2017 due to the retirement of the Postmaster and the withdrawal of the premises for Post Office use.

Allison Wallace, Post Office Area Network Change Manager, said: “We are pleased that the Postmaster for Reepham can provide this service for Wragby whilst we continue to look for a permanent solution. We know that the community will welcome this news.”

The nearest full-time branch is East Barkwith Post Office at 110 Main Road, East Barkwith, which is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am–5.30pm and Saturday from 8.30am-12.30pm.
